Nathan is from St. Petersburg, FL. He got a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida in 2002 and is intent on never putting that degree to use. His philosophical interests include moral philosophy, political philosophy and punishment. In his spare time he likes trying to stay warm, soaking up what little sun he can get, running and being as intellectually lazy as possible. He has papers forthcoming in The Southern Journal of Philosophy and in Law and Philosophy and hopefully will eventually publish work elsewhere (if he hasn't run out of ideas). One of his ambitions is to write the next great philosophical tome and use the royalties to finance a carefree lifestyle on a remote tropical island. For now, though, he's willing to settle for a decent job that can feed him (though he'd really like to be left with enough spare time to write said tome). Somewhat ironically (and somewhat not so ironically), his dissertation is on the justifiability of punishment.
