Larry Hardin

Larry Hardin is the author of the prize-winning Color
for Philosophers: Unweaving the Rainbow (Hackett, 1987, 1993), as well as over forty articles, many of which deal with the perception of color as it relates to qualia and the mind-body problem. He has received grants and major fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities as well as the National Science Foundation. He is the co-editor of Color
Categories in Thought and Language (Cambridge University Press, 1997), a collaborative examination by visual scientists and linguistic anthropologists of the nature and significance of basic color term usage across cultures.
